Nami Island Tickets 2026: Round-Trip Ferry Prices, Child Rates and October 28 Hours

Does a Nami Island ticket cover the ferry, or do you need to pay again at the dock? For a family, the child-rate cutoff adds another question. A seasonal first-boat notice can also change the time you plan to arrive.

Nami Island tickets are easier to compare once you separate the regular round-trip ferry option from the motorboat arrival option. Mixing those columns changes the cost before you have even chosen how to enter the island.

The operator, Nami Island Co., Ltd., publishes a fare table and a separate ferry notice. This guide uses regular admission with the standard ferry in both directions, checked October 14, 2026, and applies the published fall notice to Wednesday, October 28.

Operating arrangements can change. Check the official visitor information before traveling.

The operator’s official admission table includes round-trip boat transportation. Regular admission using the standard ferry in both directions is ₩19,000 per person. You do not add another standard ferry fare to that published amount.

The table also has a separate “motorboat arrival and standard ferry departure” column. That is a different transport option. This guide’s calculations use the standard-ferry column rather than mixing transport types or treating online packages as the same published tariff.

The island’s address is in Chuncheon, but the standard ferry departure point is on the Gapyeong side. Knowing which side you need to reach is more useful for the journey than treating the island’s postal address as the boarding point.

Regular age-group and eligibility rates

The standard-ferry column gives the following per-person admission rates, including the return boat trip.

  • Regular admission: ₩19,000
  • Reduced admission: ₩16,000 — including middle and high school students and visitors age 70 or older, subject to official eligibility
  • Special reduced admission: ₩13,000 — including children from 36 months through elementary school

The reduced category also lists certain disability and national-merit eligibility groups. The operator’s conditions and required documentation matter; these are not discounts automatically available to every traveler.

Children under 36 months accompanied by a guardian qualify for free admission under the published conditions. Groups of children under 36 months appear in the paid special-rate category, so the individual guardian-accompanied rule should not be extended to every group booking.

For two adults paying the regular rate and one child in the 36-month-to-elementary-school category, standard round-trip ferry admission totals ₩51,000: ₩19,000 twice, plus ₩13,000. Two regular-rate adults alone total ₩38,000.

This is an admission total for the stated people and transport option. It is not a full-day travel budget covering meals, paid activities or accommodation.

A family calculation starts with the child’s applicable category and the chosen boat option. Once those are fixed, the published amounts can be added without confusing a child rate, a transport upgrade and an online package.

October 28 and the fall ferry notice

The operator’s official ferry page separates its general timetable from additional 2026 service. From September 18 through November 22, the first boat is listed as 7:30 a.m. every day. That seasonal notice should be read alongside the general 8:00 a.m. first-arrival boat.

October 28, 2026 is a Wednesday. The published 9:30 p.m. fall extension applies to Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, so it does not supply a 9:30 p.m. last boat for that Wednesday. The general directional times remain the reference to check.

  • General boats to the island: first 8:00 a.m.; last 9:00 p.m.
  • General boats from the island: first 8:05 a.m.; last 9:05 p.m.
  • 8:00–9:00 a.m.: every 30 minutes
  • 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.: every 10–20 minutes
  • 6:00–9:00 p.m.: every 30 minutes

The notice does not separately define the interval between the seasonal 7:30 a.m. departure and 8:00 a.m. These are service intervals, not guaranteed boarding waits. All listed times are local Korean time, and operating arrangements can change.

The island visit beyond the boat ride

The official page gives the boat crossing itself as about five minutes. That does not include ticketing, waiting to board or time spent walking around the island.

After choosing admission and a boat time, the extent of your tree-path and riverside walk remains a separate decision. The overhead photograph explains the island’s shape; it does not imply that visitors can access the same aerial viewpoint.

A late-October travel date is also separate from a confirmed foliage peak. The fare and ferry notices answer cost and transport questions. For same-day changes, the operator’s published contact is +82-31-580-8114.

For a different fall landscape centered on a single large tree, Yongmunsa’s ginkgo tree in Yangpyeong offers another type of outing. This is an alternative setting to consider, not a claim that the two places form one convenient day-trip route.
