Goyang Autumn Flower Festival 2026: Free Entry and a Lake Park Walk
October 1–11 at Ilsan Lake Park, with the everyday waterside landscape beyond the festival
Apartment towers rise beyond the water, while the trees below them appear again in the lake. Ilsan Lake Park places a broad waterside view inside the city, close to the buildings and streets that surround it.
The Goyang Autumn Flower Festival runs October 1–11, 2026, in the Theme Plaza area of the park. It adds a seasonal garden visit to a place that also has its own everyday landscape of water, trees and paths.
A flower-focused visit and a park walk are connected but distinct. The temporary garden offers one reason to arrive; the water and tree-lined paths offer another reason to stay beyond the exhibition area.
A pavilion among the plants
The pavilion roof rises above layers of planting. Its outline offers a closer view than the towers across the lake, drawing attention toward the relationship between the built structure and the plants around it.
The permanent landscape and the temporary garden offer different points of interest. The pavilion belongs to the park’s architectural setting, while the seasonal exhibition changes the emphasis of a visit.
The water through the trees
The path gives a partial view of the lake through the trees. Nearby trunks and leaves frame the more distant water, changing the scale of the landscape without requiring a different destination.
A walk outside the festival space is not automatically a route through the Theme Plaza. The garden event occupies its listed area within a larger park. Leave room for both rather than expecting every path to be part of one exhibition.
A lake inside the urban grid
From above, the water and its wooded edge form a long opening among the roads and buildings. The aerial view explains a relationship that is less obvious at ground level: this is a sizable waterside landscape within the surrounding city.
The official event address is 595 Hosu-ro, Ilsandong-gu, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do. The organizer identifies the Theme Plaza area of Ilsan Lake Park as the festival location. The event and the entire park should not be treated as one ticketed indoor venue.
Goyang Autumn Flower Festival dates and free entry
Outdoor festival admission is free, and published hours are 9 a.m.–6 p.m. The organizer’s Korean event page and the Korea Tourism Organization agree on the October 1–11 dates. All times are Korea Standard Time.
The organizer lists an outdoor autumn theme garden and a flower market among the attractions. Free admission is not a statement that purchases or separately charged activities cost nothing. A garden visit can remain a different choice from adding an activity or buying plants.
The Goyang Flower Scent Festa on October 17–25 is a separate event with a different name and date range. For this Autumn Flower Festival, October 11 is the relevant end date. The spring flower expo is also a different event.
From the lake to a tree-lined path
The open water view gives way to a closer space between the trees. Moving between those scales—the broad lake, nearby leaves and buildings beyond the park—is part of the place’s appeal even outside a festival.
October 10–11 is the final weekend of the current Autumn Flower Festival. It offers a chance to pair the seasonal garden area with the everyday park landscape, keeping each part of the visit distinct.
