Busan International Film Festival Tickets 2026: Prices and Refunds
Busan Cinema Center and Centum theaters: screening codes, two-ticket limit and cancellation deadlines

Does a ticket to the Busan International Film Festival let you choose a movie once you arrive? A first visit can be confusing: the festival runs across several venues, while a reservation belongs to a particular screening rather than an open-ended day at the movies.
A group of three also encounters a purchase limit, and changing a plan close to the screening can incur a cancellation fee. For travelers building a Busan itinerary, those details matter as much as the movie list.
This guide separates the official 2026 prices, purchase rules, box offices and refunds. Busan International Film Festival tickets are sold in Korean won; keeping that currency makes it easier to compare the listed price with the booking screen.
Busan International Film Festival tickets and dates

The 31st BIFF runs October 6–15, 2026. October 10–11 is within that period, but each movie has its own screening dates. A festival date alone does not establish that a specific film will be playing that day.
Use the screening code to distinguish showings of the same title. Compare the date, start time and theater before choosing seats. This is especially useful when combining a screening with a separate appointment or another part of your Busan visit.
Standard seats are sold online. During the festival, box offices may sell seats left unsold online or released through cancellations. A working box office is not a guarantee of walk-up availability for your preferred movie.
Ticket prices by program

Program | Per ticket |
|---|---|
|
Regular screening / Cine Class |
KRW 10,000 |
|
Actors’ House / Master Class |
KRW 15,000 |
|
Midnight Passion |
KRW 20,000 |
|
Opening / closing ceremony |
KRW 30,000 |

Two regular tickets total KRW 20,000 before any qualifying discount; two ceremony tickets total KRW 60,000. Treat those as screening costs separate from transportation and lodging. Do not use the regular-screening price as the price for every event.
The Korean guide lists eligibility and documentation for discounts. A discounted mobile ticket may require a box-office document check before use. A discount for one qualifying visitor does not automatically cover the rest of a group.
Two tickets per screening code

The purchase limit is two tickets per screening code. If more than two people want to attend together, one booking cannot secure the entire group. Separate purchases also do not promise adjacent seats.
The published Korean booking sequence starts with a new buyer registration and phone-number verification, followed by selecting the screening, seats and price, then payment. Last year’s registered buyers must register again. The guide recommends Chrome and restricts simultaneous access from multiple devices or tabs with the same account.

If your phone number or payment method is not accepted, resolve that through the official booking service before relying on a particular screening in your itinerary. This guide does not establish support for every overseas number or card. The festival contact is 1666-9177 within Korea, with cs@biff.kr listed for ticket inquiries.
Cinema Center and other box offices

Busan Cinema Center is at 120 Suyeonggangbyeon-daero, Haeundae-gu, Busan. Its outdoor box office operates October 6–15, 8:30 a.m.–8:30 p.m. The Cinema Mountain sixth-floor office operates October 7–15 from 8:30 a.m. until 15 minutes after the final screening starts.
CGV Centum City’s seventh-floor office and Lotte Cinema Centum City’s eighth-floor office follow their own screening schedules. They are separate destinations; do not apply the Cinema Center hours to every theater. You can present a mobile ticket at a BIFF box office if you need it printed.
Wheelchair seats follow a separate prior-request and remaining-seat procedure rather than standard online booking. Contact the festival about the relevant showing before purchasing a seat that may not fit your access needs.
Cancellation deadlines and refunds

Cancellation is allowed until 60 minutes before the screening starts. Mobile tickets are canceled through the reservation service; a printed ticket must be returned at a BIFF box office.
When canceled | Regular ticket | Ceremony ticket |
|---|---|---|
|
6+ days before |
No fee |
No fee |
|
5–3 days before |
KRW 1,000 |
KRW 3,000 |
|
2 days before to 60 minutes before |
KRW 3,000 |
KRW 9,000 |

In the five-to-three-day window, canceling on the purchase date is exempt from the fee. Within two days of the screening, the fee applies even to a same-day purchase and cancellation. Buying a tentative ticket close to showtime can therefore cost money if you immediately change your mind.
A festival-initiated schedule change or cancellation qualifies for cancellation and refund without the fee. Lost or damaged printed tickets caused by the buyer cannot be reissued or refunded.
Rules checked October 4, 2026. Match the screening, theater and group size first, then keep the cancellation deadline with your reservation. Compare the official BIFF booking and refund guide with the selected showing at the official ticket service.
